Report: Tottenham set to table pre-contract offers for two AC Milan players
Tottenham are about to table two pre-contract deals to sign AC Milan stars Franck Kessie and Alessio Romagnoli. Both players are out of contract at the San Siro in the next few months.
Kessie, 25, is likely to be one of the more-intriguing transfer dramas over the next few weeks. The Ivory Coast international, who will be featuring at AFCON, scored 14 goals from midfield for Milan last season.
That, combined with his contract situation, has propelled him onto the shortlists of many in Europe. Tottenham have been strongly linked for the ex-Atalanta star, as they have with current Milan skipper Romagnoli.
Spurs are believed to be in the market for a left-sided centre-back in order to provide competition for Ben Davies. Milan captain Romangoli is just that, and again, he is out of contract in the summer.

90Min say pre-contract deals are being prepared for both players – and will be received in a matter of days. Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle are also keen on Kessie, while Chelsea want Romagnoli.

The only frustration for Antonio Conte is that while it saves Spurs plenty of cash, the Milan duo would only join Spurs at the end of the season. If they are to finish in the top four, then quality is required right now.
But everyone and anyone with any footballing knowledge will know Daniel Levy would prefer to keep the coffers intact. If it means waiting a few months to get Kessie and Romagnoli, then so be it. They both seriously improve Spurs.
