Report: Tottenham make Alvaro Morata first priority, if Harry Kane departs
Fabio Paratici wants to sign Alvaro Morata if Harry Kane leaves Tottenham – with Juventus unlikely to sign Morata permanently.
Morata, 28, is currently on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid. A £29.75million permanent clause has been included in the deal.
Returning to Juventus after a two-year spell between 2014 and 2016, Morata agreed a two-year loan in 2020. That loan ends next summer.
Juve, as things stand, will not look to make his stay at the Old Lady permanent. Tottenham, meanwhile, are planning for Kane’s exit.
Paratici has impressed in his first window as sporting director at Spurs. Keeping Kane was obviously important, but he is likely to go next summer.
If he does, the report claims Spurs and Paratici will look to sign Morata. It remains to be seen if Atleti charge the clause currently in his Juve loan.

Morata to Tottenham: Fans should be underwhelmed at potential deal
On his day, Morata is one of the best strikers in the world. But that day comes around rarely. He is a good no.9, but miles off the standard of Kane.
Tottenham and Paratici should look no further than his stint at Chelsea. He scored just 16 goals in 47 Premier League appearances. Not enough.
At Juve, he has 50 in 144. Madrid – 31 in 95. 24 in 72 league and cup games for Chelsea. Better at Atleti, with 22 in 61. They are not Kane numbers.
If Spurs can get him for the permanent price in his loan, he is pretty cheap. But as a replacement for Kane? Spurs fans should be underwhelmed.
