Alderweireld and Tottenham have come to a standstill in the recent past in terms of a contract extension. With his current deal expiring in summer 2020, his fut🧔ure at Tottenham has been up in the air.
But a coꦚmbination of factors could prompt Alderweireld to commit his future to the north London club. One of those is the appointment of Jose Mourinho. Alderweireld is said to be very happy with this decision.
The Belgium defender is also expecting his second child which could dissuade him from relocating. Plus, Mourinho is a big ⛄fan of Alderweireld. He repeatedly tried to sign him at Manchester United. With that added confidence, he could be convinced to stay.
