Report: Tottenham eye 19-year-old PL starlet Mourinho had wanted
꧅Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Manchester United starlet Charlie Wellens, that Jose Mourinho is also keen on the 19-year-old.
ღWellens is yet to make his senior debut for Manchester United. However, he has been a stalwart for the under-23 side, playing every minute in Premier League 2 so far this season.

🦋Mourinho has been an admirer of the teenager for some time. The Sun notes that Wellens was promoted to first-team training while the Portuguese was in charge at Old Trafford.
ღIt is claimed that Mourinho then wanted to take him to Tottenham. And he is now eyeing a potential transfer at his latest club, Roma.

ꦦInterestingly, that Spurs remain keen on Wellens. So it would appear that Tottenham are set to battle their former boss for the versatile youngster.
Mourinho has clear advantage over Tottenham in Charlie Wellens race
﷽Wellens has predominantly played at right-back this season. However, he has also featured on the opposite flank, as well as in holding midfield.
🌄Unfortunately for Tottenham, the Giallorossi appear to have an obvious advantage over the Premier League side – should Wellens want to leave United.
ꦆ. So Roma could potentially look to open talks with Wellens over a pre-contract deal in the coming days.
🔯Perhaps that may tempt Tottenham to make some sort of bid in January. If they are particularly interested, they will be wary of leaving the door open for Roma to make a move.
💮It would be particular disappointing to miss out if he ends up signing for Mourinho.
