Report shares ‘fantastic’ PL player’s stance over Newcastle move and it’s not great news for Magpies fans

♏Nathan Ake is in no rush to leave Manchester City and join Newcastle, amid interest from his former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.

ꦬThe report that there is interest from Tyneside in the defender, who has worked closely with Howe before.

It has already been claimed that ꦦNewcastle would need to pay a £50 million club record fee to get the Dutchman through the door.

🔯That fee is apparently prohibitive for Newcastle, who not want to be messed around in the transfer market this summer.

Ake in no rush to join Newcastle

ꦺAke is not a first choice starter at City and when quality players are on the fringes at their clubs, there will always be interest.

♎But City are in the running for every competition they enter and Ake is a Premier League winner, with the realistic prospect to add plenty of trophies to his collection in the years ahead.

💧The relationship with Howe clearly only has so much sway when it comes to getting a player away from such a successful club.

🃏Ake is someone Virgil van Dijk previously labelled ‘‘, and another Dutch central defender has been in the conversation around Newcastle for a while now.

Last week, it was reported that Newcastle had agreed a £30 million fee with Lille for Ake’s countryman Sven Botman.

🌱It has been a protracted pursuit, and it has since taken another twist with the price seemingly going up again.

💫That may mean Newcastle focus more on Ake in the weeks and months ahead, but the pricetag is a big issue and if the player himself is in no rush to move, it looks likely to be that much harder to get the deal done.
