Report: Newcastle weighing up Charles De Ketelaere bid in January
Newcastle United are weighing up making a £25.8 million bid for Charles De Ketelaere following his difficult start to life with AC Milan, according to a report from .
De Ketelaere was a marquee addition for the Serie A champions in the summer. Of course, there was plenty of speculation that Leeds would attempt to make him their £34 million record addition ().

Ultimately, he ended up at San Siro. However, he is yet to really catch fire with the Rossoneri. The Belgian has not scored and only provided one assist in 15 games.
Newcastle weighing up De Ketelaere bid
It seems that he may now get the chance to leave in January. Calciomercatoweb reports that Newcastle really like De Ketelaere and could make a bid in the winter.

In fact, it is suggested that they could offer £25.8 million for the 21-year-old.
It does appear however, that they may be set for disappointment. reports that Paolo Maldini has no interest in selling De Ketelaere and will not even consider entering into negotiations.
It would be another big statement from Newcastle if they were able to bring De Ketelaere to Tyneside. He has struggled with Milan. But he is an incredibly ‘‘ talent with a bright future ahead.
Newcastle are making absolutely rapid progress. Eddie Howe’s men sit inside the top four after an amazing start to the season. And only Manchester City and Arsenal boast a better goal difference than the Magpies.
They have not even got Alexander Isak in the side at the moment. So adding De Ketelaere to the ranks would be a serious statement of intent.
Perhaps January may come too soon with Milan not open to offers. But should his struggles continue, there may be an opportunity to revisit the situation in the summer.
