TBR’s view – Bad news for Clark and Lejeune?

Jamaal Lascelles, Federico Fernandez and even Fabian Schar are all safe should a takeover occur this 🐽summer. But if the club’s new owners do go after a new centre-back sಞuch as Godfrey, room will have to be made.

The Toon boast five first-team central defenders with Ciaran Clark and Florian Lejeune making up the numbers. Clark has impressed at times ꦓbut is s🌱ome way down the pecking order, while injury continues to frustrate Lejeune.

If a centre-back i𝕴s signed this summer, surely Clark and Lejeune will leave?
