Report: Michael O’Neill leading Rangers, Celtic and Tony Mowbray in race for Scot
Rangers, Celtic and Tony Mowbray are trailing Stoke City in the chase to sign Hearts defender John Souttar, according to . The Scotland international is out o💦f contract at the end of the season.
Souttar, 25, has returned from long-term spells on the sidelines to shine for Hearts of late. The 💛four-time Scotla🐎nd international has even worked his way back into the Scotland side, clocking up 21 appearances this season.
In that time, Souttar has scored three goals and helped new🦄ly-promoted Hearts keep eight clean sheets – conceding only 20 goals. I🐬t is believed that Hearts may decide to cash in on Souttar in the January window.
That is, to avoid losing the centre-back on a free transfer. Celtic and Rangers are ‘in the mix’ to sign Souttar, as is ex-Celtic gaffer Mowbray – who wa🧸nts him at Blackbu🗹rn. But Lancashire Live say Stoke are on ‘pole position’.

Celtic and Rangers blow: Souttar would be a brilliant signing
Souttar is a top, top player. So much so, that ex-Rangers and current Hearts midfielder Andy Halliday claimed earlier this season that it would take £12million to sign⛄ the T👍ynecastle defender –
The defender has certainly been excellent for Hearts and while he might not actually be worth £12millꦗion, he would improve Celtic and Rangers. The latter especially, who lack options in the middle of their defence.
