This summer has seen Phil Jagওielka tentatively linked with a move to Rangers. Mostly, those reports have been because of opinio♚n sites or fan theories rather than anything concrete.
However, Jagielka was photographed on a Glasgow high street yesterday with former Ibrox director of football Gordon Smith. That certainly spa🎀rked renewed rumours of a potential deal for Jagielka.
It certainly would be a fitting transfer. Rangers need centre-back reinforcement𝔉 with Joe Worrall and Gareth McAuley leaving. Jagielka, a free agent after leaving Everton, knows Gerrard from his time in the England squad. The boot certainly fits.
But Rangers a♔re reportedly not interested in Jag𝐆ielka. Jagi꧅elka os friends with Smith’s son and this was the reason behind his Gꩵlasgow trip.

. They state ♑that ‘Rangers are not understood to be interested’ in t♉he 40-cap England international.
That follows a report in May which stated Jagielka would not be pursued by﷽ Rangers this season.
So will Gerrard regret not making a move for the 36-yeꦬar-old? He would certainly be an upgrade on McAuley if Rangers’ boss wants experienced centre-half cover.
However, he is likely to be an expensive one and Everton෴ fans will attest to this, Jagielka is well past 🐓his brilliant best.
It seems Rangers a⛎re not making a move for Jagielka, which might have some fans disappointed. But in the long run, it is probably the better move for the Ibrox club.
