Report: ‘Magnificent’ Tottenham player’s now wanted by Juventus

Juventus are one of the sides rivalling Jose Mourinho in the race to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham Hotspur, .

Ndombele’s future at Spurs is very much up in the air. He, of course, angered many Tottenham fans for slowly leaving the field when substituted in their FA Cup tie with Morecambe. At the time, Antonio Conte’s men found themselves behind.

It was reported afterwards that Conte changed his mind on Ndombele having initially wanted to keep him.

He has not played in the Premier League since Boxing Day. And it would seemingly be a big boost for Tottenham to be able to offload the midfielder before the January window closes.

The problem, clearly, would be the financial aspects of any potential deal. Spurs broke their transfer record to bring him to North London. And he is apparently on £200,000-a-week, .

And his stock has certainly not risen since his move.

There is hope for Tottenham. that Roma want Ndombele on loan with an option to buy. Mourinho previously labelled the 25-year-old a ‘‘ player.

Meanwhile, Napoli are also admirers. But Calciomercato adds that Juve are also in the running.

Ndombele could yet help Tottenham in pursuit of targets as Juventus apparently show interest

Juventus wanting Ndombele would be a huge boost for Tottenham. They perhaps stand a better chance than most of being able to finance a deal.

But it would also potentially leave the door open for Tottenham to land one of their reported targets. They have been linked with both Dejan Kulusevski and Weston McKennie.

In fact, it was reported earlier this month that Juve turned down the chance to swap McKennie for Ndombele. So it would be interesting to know what has changed.

Plenty of Tottenham fans will welcome Ndombele being moved on this month. It would be an even better deal if Spurs could land one of their targets in the process.
