Report: Leicester rebuff Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in Kelechi Iheanacho transfer hunt
꧙Brendan Rodgers does not want Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho to leave in January despite interest from rivals.
🃏Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have both been plotting loan swoops for Iheanacho but Leicester will not let him go, . Rodgers wants to add to his squad instead.
꧅Iheanacho has only recently returned to the Leicester team. The Nigeria international was a bit-part player until he provided an assist and then scored in Leicester’s 2-1 win over Everton. He followed this up with a goal and an assist against Aston Villa.

🔥The Villans want to sign the 23-year-old, who now has four goals in five games this season. But he only has 14 goals since his 2017 move from Manchester City and that Everton game was his first Premier League outing of the season.
♈However, Leicester will keep faith with Iheanacho. Rodgers subbed him off in the first half against Norwich after a controversial moment where his sportsmanship was questioned. Despite this, Iheanacho still features in Leicester’s plans.
TBR’s view
♛Iheanacho has shown in the last few games that he can be a top striker. He has not shown this nearly enough since his move from Man City but there is a still a player in there.
꧙He’s working well alongside Jamie Vardy up top and Leicester need depth in their attack. Despite his incident against Norwich – where he refused to give the ball back after the Canaries had kicked it out for an injury – Iheanacho should be kept on.
