Report: Jota to have say as Aston Villa consider Danny Drinkwater’s future
Aston Villa are open to terminating Danny Drinkwater’s loan spell with the club, that Jota will be consulted before a final decision is made.
ꦕThe Telegraph reports that there is a huge question mark hanging over Drinkwater’s future after a training ground altercation with the Spaniard.

♎ that Villa may struggle to bring a premature end to the £35 million midfielder’s loan – they currently paying half of his £120,000-a-week wages, but they could still instruct Drinkwater to train away from the first-team.
🔯Interestingly, the report adds that Jota could have a say on what happens to Drinkwater.

TBR View – Villa may benefit from ending Drinkwater loan
🃏It is often suggested by players that altercations on the training ground are common place, and often not a big deal. And of course, Drinkwater may point out that there are two sides that need to be heard before the blame is completely placed on him.
✤That being said, Villa fans may feel that Drinkwater’s loan coming to an end may be beneficial.
꧒Smith’s men are in the bottom three in the Premier League. And they could do without any additional distractions as they look to get themselves out of trouble.
🎃Scraps between teammates can ultimately have a positive impact on squad morale once issues are resolved.
🎃But unfortunately, Drinkwater has not been a successful signing on the pitch.
ﷺSo calling time on his loan may be best for all parties.
