TBR View: Mourinho’s stock remains high despite recent failures

💧Over the last few seasons, Mourinho’s stock has seemingly fallen given his failures with Manchester United and Tottenham. At least, in the eyes of and .

⛄However, it seems as though he remains a top, quality coach in the minds of Real Madrid.

🃏It does make you wonder whether sacking him may have been a hasty decision from Tottenham.

🦩His tenure came amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, where clubs were forced to spend less than usual.

🐷A combination of stadium debt and losses due to current times has left the Lilywhites in a financial hole.

💞As a result, Mourinho never really got the opportunity to complete a squad overhaul. Just under £100m was spent last summer with the vast majority of the squad remaining the same.

✤Meanwhile, Mourinho did start the campaign in fine fashion. The team sat top of the league back in December, a sign his tactics and methods were working.

🎀Real Madrid and their chase of Mourinho for their vacant manager role does make you wonder. Were Spurs too hasty in sacking the figure? It seems as though the horse may have bolted too quick on this occasion.

🃏He still possesses a great to win. If he was allowed to bring in his own players, things may have been so different.
