Report: Everton join pursuit for former player Antonee Robinson, £2m deal agreed elsewhere
Everton have joined the race for USA international Antonee Robinson, in a de💙al that would bring the defender back to Goodison Park.
, who suggest Everton are𒐪 attempting to hijack Sheffield United’s £2 million deal for the player, along with recently promoted Fulham.
Everton are looking for a replacement for Leighton Baineꦫs, who has retired, who can provide back-up and competition for first-cꦏhoice option Lucas Digne.
Robinson, who saw a January move to AC Milan collapse due to a heart condition that has self ratified without treatment, was at Everton from the age 🌌of 11 until Marcel Brands and co decided to sell him to Wigan after a successful loan spell last summer.
He went on to be a roaring success at the DW Stadium but the Latics’ financial problems mean he could be availabﷺle on the cheap this summer.

Robinson actually recently spoke to the about his future and his faile♐d Milan move, where he mentioned his lack🦩 of opportunities at Everton.
“It (moving to Milan) would have been the move of dreams. Moving away, abro🌃ad, at✅ a really exciting time to go to a top-flight team.
“I never got my chance at Everton, so for a top-flight team that I was a player they’d like to give 🦄a chance to, it was a really exciting time in my life.”
Robinson would again 🔯be facing an uphill battle for first-team football if he returned to Everton, with Digne undisputed first-choice. However, he is undoubtedly a much-improved player compared to 12 months’ time, when Everton made the c𓆏ontentious decision to let him go.
However, the chance🌃 to return to Goodison and finally prove himself as the successor to Baines might just be♉ too hard to resist for the 23-year-old.
