Report: Conte could lure Milan star to Tottenham for a bargain £8.5m
that Antonio Conte could sign AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli at Tottenham for just £8.5million in the January window.
Romagnoli, 26, joined Milan in the summer of 2015 from Roma and has since become a stalwart in Milan’s side – clocking up a huge 231 outings.
So much of a crucial part of Milan’s jigsaw, the 12-time Italy international currently wears the armband in a side that also boasts Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
However, the left-footed defender – who is represented by Mino Raiola – is out of contract in June. It looks increasingly likely he will leave Milan.
Of course, Romagnoli is not the only player out of contract at Milan next summer – with Franck Kessie also expected to leave in the near future.
A report from CM says that Tottenham could bring Romagnoli to North London, at the request of Conte. In January, he would cost just £8.5m.
Of course, from January 1, Romagnoli could also be signed on a free – but only on a pre-contract signing. It would see him join in the summer.

Romagnoli to Tottenham: Conte would strike a bargain at just £8.5m
Tottenham do have options at centre-back, with Cristian Romero said to be one of numerous Tottenham players that Conte likes.
Eric Dier is a leader, though his performance continue to be somewhat inconsistent. Davinson Sanchez has been poor, Joe Rodon is still a rookie.
If Spurs want a leader, and a left-footed centre-back, then Romagnoli would be at the top of the list. The cherry on the cake, being his bargain price tag.
