Report: Bournemouth close to completing deal for Tottenham defender
that AFC Bournemouth are close to completing a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers on a permanent basis – after the American🦄 was not afforded a squad number by Spurs.
Spurs confirmed their new squad numbers last week and 22-year-old defender Carter-Vickers joined Danny Rose in missing out on a 𒈔shirt. It comes after the United States international entered the final 12 months of his Spurs contract.
Carter-Vickers has endured a difficult time at Spurs since mak༒ing his senior debut. He has gone on loan five times to Swansea City, Stoke City, Sheffield United, Luton Town and Ipswich Town – but failed to earn a permanent deal anywhere.
But with Bournemouth looking to replace Nathan Ake and shore up their defence in a bid to instantly return to the top flight, the Cher♚ries look set to win the race for Carter-Vickers. It is unclear how much Carte꧋r-Vickers will set Bournemouth back.

TBR’s view – Good move for Carter-Vickers
Especially given he has endured somewhat indifferent form during his loan spells in the Championship. At Swansea, Carter-Vickers did well but at Stoke City earlier th𒅌is season, he was poor and ended up swapping clubs to join Luton.
Land🔜ing himself a permanent move to one of the biggest clubs in England’s second tier is a great move for Carter-Vickers, who will be well aware he has no chance of making a career at Spurs.
