Aston Villa have made an enquiry for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, but the Hoops are desperate to keep the Frenchman, .

Dean Smith’s men can surely not afford to not strengthen their striker ranks this summer. Nei♒ther Wesley or Mbwana Samatta captured the ima🧸gination following their arrivals.

However, The Sun adds that Celtic are looking to keep the 22-year-old. So it would be no surprise if they⛎ snubbed Villa’s enquiry.

TBR View: Edouard surely destined for Premier League one day, so Villa move would be huge coup for Smith

Edouard is one of the most exciting striker talents currently playing outside of the Premier League. He scored 2🎃8 goals in all competitions last term. And he marked Sunday’s season-opener with a hat-trick in Celtic’s 5-1 win.

Speaking after that win, that Edouard was the Hoops’ b✅est striker since Henrik Larsson.

“Edo⛦uard must be the best striker since Larsson,” he said.

“There’s sꦬo much to his game. There’s an ability to hold the ball up. Some scorers are only that🔥.

“But 🎀he has ability, strength and power and looks like he h💎as everything to his game.”

So i✱t would be a huge coup for Villa to make that ♏move. It does appear that Celtic are only going to be willing to sell for an eye-watering amount of money.

But it would be a massive statement from🗹 Smith’s men if they could convince Neil Lennon to sell his talisman.
