Report: Aston Villa and West Brom step up interest in Bournemouth star Josh King

that Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion have stepped up their interest in AFC Bournemouth striker Josh King with Premier League clubs still able to do business with EFL sides until October 16ꦡ.

King, 28, has been strongly linked 🍒with numerous Premier League sides throughout the summer following the Cherries’ relegation to the Championship. The Norway international has also entered the final🙈 12 months of his contract.

Clocking up 161 P✃remier League appearances throughout his career, King has netted an impressive 48 goals as well as creating 15. He has been used as a✨ number 10, out wide on either flank – as well as a striker, making his stats even more impressive.

Most Premier League cl✨ubs are expected to have finished their summer business but it is claimed that Villa and West Brom still want a striker – and have entered a tug-of-war for the ex-Manchester United ace. It is unclear how much King will cost.

TBR’s view – Who needs King more?

Ollie Watkins nett🎃ed a sensational hat-trick for Villa last time out during the stunning 7-2 win over Premier League champions Liverpool. Villa have got rid of Bor♌ja Baston and Mbwana Samatta, but still boast Wesley – who is overcoming an injury.

At West 🧸Brom, Slaven Bilic desperately needs a striker. Callum Robinson has started up front but is ha🌠rdly a number nine, and King would be a top addition. The Baggies certainly need King more than Villa.
