Report: Arsenal have scouted ‘solid’ World Cup enforcer and he’s ‘top quality’

Arsenal have scouted France defender Axel Disasi, It’s claimed that Tottenham and West Ham are also monitoring the situation of the 24-year-old Monaco star.

Disasi is currently preparing for a World Cup semi-final with France. He has played twice for Les Bleus in Qatar and will hope to feature again when they face Morocco in tomorrow’s clash.

The central defender has been with Monaco since 2020 when he joined from Stade Reims. He’s become integral to the Ligue 1 outfit, making 103 appearances for the top-flight club.

Disasi could be on the move in the near future. He does have a contract until 2025 but if the Premier League comes calling he might be off.

He’s taken well to life in Ligue 1. “He is a solid defender who is very strong. He has progressed a lot this season.”

Arsenal could be in the market for some new players in January. They are currently top of the Premier League and have a five-point lead on Manchester City who currently occupies second place.

Arsenal have scouted Disasi

It’s highly unlikely that the 24-year-old would arrive at Arsenal and become a first-choice defender.

The Gunners have found success with the pairing of Gabriel and William Saliba this season and they look formidable at the moment.

Disasi would provide good competition though. He was a bit of a surprise inclusion in the French squad for the World Cup but his talent is undeniable.

He looks set for a really bright future and he has plenty of experience playing men’s football at a decent level.

The key to Arsenal winning the Premier League will be squad depth. If the Gunners have any aspirations of silverware, they definitely need some more meat on the bones.

Disasi would put them in good shape defensively and he’d provide very useful cover for Gabriel and Saliba.
