Report: AC Milan drop out of race for Liverpool target Camavinga

Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Eduardo Camavinga, with AC Milan apparently dropping out of the race to sign him.

, the Milan giants are unwilling to meet the apparent €50m asking price set by Rennes for the teenager.

The report claims Milan were tracking the youngster in January. However, with Real Madrid now courting the midfielder, it is believed the Rossoneri will move onto other targets instead.

Camavinga, who is still only 17, has played 36 times for Rennes in all competitions this season.

His performances and talent have led to a number of clubs being interested, including Liverpool, who were with expressing their interest just last month.

However, it is also believed Camaving prefers a move to Madrid over Liverpool, something we covered, here.

But Liverpool may still fancy their chances. And with AC Milan now seemingly out of the reckoning, Jurgen Klopp could well go toe-to-toe with Madrid to land the teenager.

It’s not a bad choice to have, is it? Choosing between Madrid or Liverpool for your first big move as a top player in Europe.

However, everything seems to point towards a move to Spain. Furthermore, Camavinga will surely not turn down the chance to play for Zinedine Zidane. The Madrid boss is a legend in France and someone who can help the youngster.

Liverpool would, however, be getting a real gem if they landed Camavinga. They’ll no doubt keep their eye in on the situation as the summer progresses.
