‘Really important’ Mohamed Salah Liverpool contract update emerges after bombshell comments
In a week where Liverpool beat Real Madrid, Mohamed Salah’s contract situation has still managed to dominate the headlines.
Indeed, Salah’s contract is the big story at Anfield despite the fact Liverpool♛ have just beaten the European champions and face the Premier League champions this weekend.
That just goes to show how important Salah is.
Salah sought out journalists൩ at the weekend to make a statement about his contract, claiming that no offer had been made to him as of yet.
🌺Speaking to , Melissa Reddy has now shared an update on Salah’s contract based on what she’s hearing from her sources.
💮The journalist says that talks are ongoing between Salah’s agent and Liverpool, and those discussions, so far, have been positive.

Mohamed Salah contract talks have been positive
𒈔Reddy shared what she knows about Salah’s contract.
📖The journalist says talks have been positive, but no offer has been made yet as there’s still a gap in negotiations.
Salah wants a three-year deal𒅌, but, as yet, Liverpool have only been willing to offer a two-year extension.
ꦅ“I think it’s really important to stress that negotiations are ongoing between Liverpool and Salah’s representative, Rami Abass,’ Reddy said.
🎃“I’m told those are open, developing conversations but ultimately a formal proposal is only made when you agree on the terms you are discussing. I’m told things are progressing in the right direction, but, obviously, there is a gap between what Salah wants and what Liverpool are willing to put on the table, which is why we have this stand off if you like.”
Who could replace Mohamed Salah?
ꦚContract talks with Salah are going well, but the dangerous reality is that Salah is just a few weeks away from being able to negotiate with other clubs.
♏So, if Salah does leave Liverpool next summer, who could replace him?
Federico Chiesa🧸 is an in-house option, but Chiesa’s injuries are a big concern.
Bryan Mbeumo is apparently a Liverpool target🥀, and he’s been doing the business in the Premier League for a while now.
🦩Antoine Semenyo has also been considered as an option from within the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Liverpool believe Ben Doak has huge potential💖, but, at the age of just 19, he may be one for a few years down the line rather than an immediate successor to Salah.
🅷Reddy says that talks are going well with Salah, so the Egyptian could still remain at Anfield for a few more years, but Liverpool do need to have a plan in mind for if the attacker does leave next summer.
