Ravel Morrison has sparked widespread discussion on social media after dropping hints about joining Rangers.
, Morrison followed the official Rangers account, plus manager Steven Gerrard and players Ryan Kent and Joe Worrall, .
This has prompted fans to speculate that he could be on his way to Ibrox. And this signing could either be a disaster or a masterstroke.
Morrison has so much natural ability and was highly rated by Manchester United as a youngster. But his attitude problems forced Manchester United to sell him to West Ham in 2012.
With the Hammers, the former England under-21 international showed some glimpses of his incredible talent, including a memorable solo goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
The skilful midfielder also impressed for Birmingham City and QPR on loan before moving to Lazio to launch his career abroad.
But unfortunately, things have not worked out for Morrison in Italy and he has only managed eight first-team appearances for Lazio.
After loan stints with QPR and Mexican side Atlas, the 25-year-old could be on the move again with Rangers a potential destination.
Morrison comes with baggage but his undoubted ability should force Gerrard to seriously consider this move.
The talented Englishman is a maverick talent and could seriously improve Rangers’ chances of winning the league – but only if Gerrard can tame him.
