‘Pure class’: Some Sunderland fans laud ace who ‘Messi has posters of’ after pre-season display

🌄Sunderland secured their first win of pre-season with a comfortable over SPL side Hearts.

Whilst Manchester City𒀰 loanee Callum Doyle stole the headlines with a sensational debut performance for the League One side, Aiden McGeady was also impressive for Sunderland in Edinburgh.

💜The winger bagged both goals, with the former Republic of Ireland star finishing off a well-worked goal kick-started by Lynden Gooch. McGeady also scored a penalty in the opening half.

🔯It was an impressive display from the veteran attacker. Moreover, McGeady has committed his future to Sunderland for the upcoming season by signing a new deal.

🐼Indeed, McGeady will once again be key for Lee Johnson’s side if they are to finally escape League One.

🌊And his performance against Hearts this weekend more than assured fans that the former Everton star is heading into the new campaign in top form.

🔴McGeady scored four goals and register 14 assists for the Black Cats last campaign. And supporters on social media were buzzing with the Irishman’s performance against the Scottush side.
