Watching Celtic over the past few games has, many fans will admit, been torturous.
Slow, ponderous football coupled with a lack of cutting edge has made the last few 90-minute games a really difficult watch.
The wingers are simply not direct enough and the midfielders are not catching the runs of Kyogo Furuhashi. Overall, watching Brendan Rodgers’ side has been a real tough ask.
The Celtic supporters are frustrated but not as frustrated as Kyogo. That’s according to Peter Grant.
The former Celtic hero says the Japanese striker is extremely frustrated with Luis Palma as the 23-year-old winger has lost the attacking threat that made him so dangerous in the first half of this season.
Grant said [], “Against Motherwell, Palma was brilliant at doing what? Cross, inside, delivery, ball in the net. Right at the death, what does he do again?
“Inside, cross Matt O’Riley puts the ball in the back of the net. Now he’s passing square.
“So that tells me there is a problem. If I was Kyogo I would go over and wring his neck because of the amount of chances he’s got to put the ball in the box.”

Indeed, this isn’t the first time Grant has mentioned this and it seems that nothing has changed since he spoke about this a few months ago.
Palma is said to have a wicked delivery and we did see that at the start of the season. But lately, it looks as if the Honduran is somehow afraid to make those crosses that once caused havoc in the opponent’s box.
With Hibs up next and Rodgers needing goals, if Palma does start tonight (and I don’t think he will), the Celtic fans will be hoping both players can combine to help bring all three points back to Celtic Park.
