Peter Grant says 23-year-old Celtic player didn’t get any credit for his role in Celtic’s win over Feyenoord

Peter Grant has named one player he feels didn’t get enough credit for his role in the win over Feyenoord in the Champions League.

The former Celtic hero said Luis Palma should have got more plaudits for his well-taken penalty that put Brendan Rodgers’ side in the lead and Grant said he noticed what the Honduran did to make sure the ball hit the back of the net.

It was a delightful piece of skill and it was executed under extreme pressure. After missing his last spot kick, Palma stepped up when it really mattered knowing how much a win against the Dutch meant to Celtic.

But now we need to see Palma do more to deliver for his Celtic teammates. TBR Celtic told this morning how Kyogo Furuhashi is getting frustrated with him for not spotting his runs at the opposition defences.

If Palma can just tidy up that part of his game he could become a really dangerous player for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers in the run-up to the winter break.
