‘Perfect’: Carlo Ancelotti wowed by Everton player who’s always so focused in training and in games
༒Everton head coach Carlo Ancelotti has waxed lyrical about Toffees captain Seamus Coleman, saying he’s the “perfect example” of how a player should be.
𝔉The 32-year-old right-back has been a superb servant for the Blues since moving to Goodison Park from Irish side Sligo Rovers in 2009.
ღColeman, who only cost Everton £60,000, is closing in on 350 competitive appearances for the Toffees, and has registered 26 goals and 31 assists.

🌠The Republic of Ireland international’s Everton contract expires at the end of next season, but Ancelotti says Marcel Brands will be talking to him and James Rodriguez in the next few weeks.
ꦦAncelotti, speaking to the Everton ahead of the Premier League meeting with Aston Villa at Goodison Park on Saturday, then praised Coleman’s qualities.
ꩲ“Our technical director, Marcel Brands, is involved in this and is going to talk directly with the players in the next few weeks,” added Ancelotti.
🅰“Seamus Coleman is the perfect example of how a player has to be.
🔥“Focused in training, doesn’t complain when he’s not playing, always focused on the performance of the team and the behaviour of his teammates.
♛“He is a perfect example of how to be a captain, first, and second, a player.”

♑Coleman’s efforts for Everton over the years have surely secured him a place in the club’s hall of fame, and Ancelotti’s comments seem to hint at a potential new deal.
🦹Even though he’s not been a regular starter this season, his contributions in training, on the pitch and in the dressing room make him a great asset for the Toffees.
