Owen Hargreaves expects Theo Walcott to complete permanent Everton exit

Owen Hargreaves has told that he expects Theo Walcott to complete a permanent Everton exit and join Southampton beyon🐲d the end of the season – aꩵs he continues to shine on loan with the south coast club.

Walcott, 31, temporarily ended a disappointing Everton spell in the summer by returning to his boyhood club Southampton. Just 11 goals in 85 appearan🦂ces saw the Toffees decide to offload the 47-time England international to the Saints.

Since his return, Walcott has impressed. Clocking up nine Premier League appearances for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men, Walcott has🌠 scored two goals – one against former side Arsenal in a 1-1 draw, and another against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Walcott’s £100,000-a-week () contract at Everton expires in t🅺he summer and Hargreaves believes he will leave Everton permanently, and join Southampton beyond the end of the season – when his loan e♏xpires.

“Everton didn’t work out and that’s probably not going to be an option for him. When you find something that works, you shouldn’t walk away from it. I think that [permanent Southampton move] would be perfect for him,”

TBR’s view – Should Everton consider keeping Walcott?

The chances of Everton keeping Walcott permanently seem all but over. But the form he is showing is certainly impressive, and he would be good cover foꦏr the likes of Richarlison and James Rodriguez – but at £100,000 a week, it is not worth it.

Indeed, there is an argument to be had that Walcott’s form has only been good at Southampton as he has returned to a side where he has an emotional connection – after coming through their academy. Even if they did want to keep him, they won’t.
