‘One name on the list’… Tottenham looking at signing 27-year-old defender who’s faster than Jeremy Doku

Tottenham need to sign a new centre-back in the January transfer window.

Recent injuries and suspensions for Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero have only served to highlight the north London club’s lack of depth in this position, and Ange Postecoglou has made no secret of his desire to brin🦩g in reinforcements next month.

Jacobs shared what he knows about the ༺27-year-old.

“Tottenham need to move quickly to find depth. Jonathan Tah from Leverkuseꦕn is one name on the list, Tottenham have also looked at Tapsoba too in the past. It’s so hard to buy a player from Leverkusen in January because they’re flying and these guys are enjoying life under Xabi Alonso. Leverkusen’s strategy is to lose just two of their star names 🦂over the next two transfer windows,” Jacobs said.

Much like Micky Van de Ven before his move to Tottenham, Tah is shining in the Bundesliga right now, and he has all of the attributes needed to be a star in the ☂Premier League and under Anꦆge Postecoglou.

He’s big, he’s strong and he’s absolutely rapid.

As we all know, centre-backs in Ange Postecoglou’s team need to have bags of pace i🃏n orde🐷r to play that high line, and Tah ticks that box.
