Nottingham Forest pain as Liverpool eye £33m star who can be ‘better’ than Mo Salah
With Liverpool now linked and the forward in the form of his life, the ship seems to have sailed as far as Nottingham Forest are concerned.

With Liverpool now interested after a quite remarkable last few weeks – M🙈armoush has eight goals and four assists from just six Bundesliga appearances in 2024/25 – the former Wolfsburg speedster should have his pick of Europe’s elite clubs should he maintain his current rate of progress.
Liverpool target Omar Marmoush can be ‘better’ than Mo Salah
Comparisons have often been drawn between Marmoush and Egypt team-mate Mo Salah.
And with that Liverpool contract expiring in the summer of 2025 – Salah𓆏 has admirers in S🌟audi Arabia and the American MLS – it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Marmoush could be the man to inherit the throne of Anfield’s ‘♏Egyptian King’.
Whether Marmoush will ever ascend to the 🎃same virtigo-inducing heights as Salah, only time will t♏ell.
Egyptian reporter Tarek Metwally believes that Frankfurt’s number seven is further along in his development than Sala🐲h was at this juncture, however.
“Everyo💦ne here is predicting a very great future for him. In my opinion, Marmoush is in a better position than Salah was at his age,” Metwally tells , the Bundesliga’s top sco𝄹rer turning 25 last February.
“If he continues like this, he will be be💞tter [than Salah] at some point.
“Salah was initially characterised by his speed, and then developed further. Marmoush, on the other hand, is also very✨ fast but already has other skills. Some people in Egypt would like to see him in the Premier League, especially at one of the top clubs.”

Those hopes could soon come true.
Nottingham Fores🐬t also missed out on Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez ♓over the summer while failing with a £25 million bid for Brentford attacker Yoane Wissa. And as Gimenez confirms interest from Italian giants AC Milan, Marmoush may also now be aiming at a club higher up the f🍸ootballing pyramid.
“Omar feel💯s extremely comfortable and knows what he has in Eintracht,” Frankfurt director Markus Krosche told reporters after Marmoush turned down that switch to the City Ground.
“There was concrete interest from a club, but Omar has clearly chosen [to stay with] us. First and foremost, becaus🍎e Omar feels completely at home here.
“He knows what he has in us. After an outstanding first year like he had with us, interest from othꦑer clubs is normal.
“Through his performances, he has earned a certain status with us and with the fa🦂ns. In the end, there was a specific inquiry, but Omar has clearly committed to us and will continue to hunt for goals for Eintracht.”
