Nottingham Forest now looking to loan ‘bargain’ 24-year-old striker who scored 10 Premier League goals last season – journalist

Nottingham Forest are now looking to loan Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis, .

Reports have suggested that Everton and Newcastle are interested in signing Dennis this summer but Steve Cooper could soon make a move for the striker.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer for Watford after joining from Club Brugge last summer and bagged 10 goals in his first season in the Premier League.

His performance against Aston Villa even led to Liverpool legend Michael Owen labelling him a bargain for the Hornets.

Forest looking to loan Dennis

Now Forest could look to try and loan the striker and potentially move towards their thirteenth signing this summer.

.

Speaking on Sky Sports News today, Paton said: “Nottingham Forest are interested in the Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis.

“Watford value Dennis at around about £20 million but we understand that Forest would prefer a loan, with an option to buy.

“They are deciding whether to formalise their interest.”

The Reds have been exceedingly busy this summer as they’ve already broken their transfer record and currently lead the way in terms of total signings in the Premier League.

Dennis was excellent in his debut campaign in the Premier League last season, despite being unable to prevent Watford from being relegated to the Championship.

Cooper has already bolstered his attacking options with the signing striker Taiwo Awoniyi but Dennis is a versatile player who can play off either wing, as well as up-front.

It’s unclear whether the Hornets would allow the Nigerian international to leave on loan but if Cooper managed to bring the him to the City Ground, he would be a brilliant option for the Welshman.
