Nottingham Forest looking to hand out three new contracts to key players before sorting Nuno’s future

TBR Football exclusively understands that Nottingham Forest are confident that new deals will soon be in place for all of Chris Wood, Ola Aina and Murillo.

After 20 games played, Nuno Espirito Santo has done a remarkable job guiding ForestπŸ’ to third place in the Premier League, sitting level with Arsenal on 40 points.

πŸ… Nuno has got the best out of Morgan Gibbs-White and several other members of the squad, a team all pulling in the same direction.

Now, Forest are working hard to secure the futures of three other key performers this season: Chris Wood, Ola Aina and Murillo.

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme BaileyπŸ’« understands that new contracts will soon be finalised for all three of Wood, Aina and Murillo.

Forest have been in talks with Wood and Aina🌼, given that their contracts are due to expire in the summer, discussions that have been ongoing since before Christmas.

πŸ’¦The duo have been attracting strong interest from the Saudi Pro League, who have been keeping tabs on their individual situations, but fortunately for Forest, talks are close to be finalised for each.

πŸŒ„Aina was also attracting interest from Manchester City, a full-back who has excelled under Nuno this season.

🐼But TBR can reveal that Forest possess another option on Aina, so they won’t be seeing him leave in the summer, even if a new deal is someway down the line.

Murillo also on verge of signing long-term deal with Nuno talks planned

🐲In addition to the pair mentioned, Forest are also pushing to sort the long-term future of Murillo.

❀Sources have confirmed that a deal for the Brazilian has accelerated over the last few weeks, and he will put pen to paper before the end of the month on a new long-term contract.

𓆏Once all three of those deals are complete, Forest hope to then sort a new contract for Nuno.

ღHowever, that could wait until the end of the season.

ΰ΅²Nuno is very happy with how things are going and wants to make sure his squad is finalised with their respective new deals first.

ΰΌ’An excellent period for the club, who will be hoping that all four of the names mentioned will be enjoying a European campaign at The City Ground next season.
