Newcastle dream of signing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo

The player in question is Bryan Mbeumo, who has been a revelation for Brentford over the past few years.

According to i Sport, a right-winger is now considered the priority for Newcas🌼tle in the next window, and Mbeumo is the dream target.

However, the report also says a January move for the attacker is unlikely, ꩲalong with any renewed interest iꦺn summer targets Anthony Elanga or Marc Guehi.

PSR continues to impact Newcastle’s thinking and, whil♎e there is money to spend, there is caution around player availability and🌳 prices in January, added the report.

Who is Newcastle target Bryan Mbeumo?

Mbeumo has hit the ground running for Brent💃ford this season, registering six goals in their opening eight league games.

Last term, he ꦗbagged nine goals and six assists from just 25 Premier Leagu𒐪e outings, while 2022/23 saw him get nine goals and eight assists from 38 top-flight appearances.

Mbeumo is a versatile player who can feature up♊ front or as a second striker, so he’d give Eddie Howe several options🍌 across the front line or just behind.

Why Mbeumo would be perfect for a top Premier League club

Last year, Stan Collymore told  that Mbeumo was his “favourite𒁏 player in the Premie🅺r League” and made a solid case why he’d thrive at Liverpool, another club linked with him.

“Interestingly, it’s actually one of Toney’s Brentford teammates that I think top sides should be taking a closღer look at,” he said. “Bryan Mbeumo – I love him!

“It may surpriꦗse some of you but Mbeumo is my favourite player in the Premier League. I think he’s quality.

“Whenever I watch him, he gets the ball close to his f🥂eet, he’s very direct, he makes excellent runs in the channels, he can drop deep, he holds the ball up really well, he is very supportive of his striking partner, he gets in theꦕ box and poaches goals, he’s physically strong.

“I🌜 could go on and on. He’s a great player! If Salah does end up leaving Liverpool this summer then I certainly think Jur🌠gen Klopp should consider Brentford’s number 19.”
