Newcastle are interested in signing rival Premier League star who Alan Shearer called ‘outstanding’

The transfer window has slammed shut, but Newcastle United are already planning ahead for the summer.

The Magpies did not sign anybody in the winter transfeꦫr window. They had to be quiet because of PSR limitations, b🥃ut things will be different in the summer.

Fabrizio Romano says Newcastle are interested in Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth

Bournemouth have been one of the surprise packages in the Premier League this season.

The Cherries are only a point behind Newcast🔯le United and Manchester City in the table and have big ambitions for the campaign.

One of the𓃲 biggest reasons why Bournemouth have been so good this season is their central defensive partnership of Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi.

The two players have been exceptional, and Romano has now claimed that Newcastle United ha🤡ve joi♏ned Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the race to sign Huijsen.

He said in a video on his YouTube channel: “Chelsea are one of seꦜveral clubs interested in Dean Huijsen, this fantastic centre-back at Bournemouth, who is doing fantastic in terms of performances, very calm on the ball, quality in the buildup, not conceding goals when he’s playing in this partnership which has been fantastic with Zabarnyi.

“So Dean Huijsen is attracting many clubs. I already mentioned Chelsea and I keep mentioning Chelsea as one of the clubs int⛦erested. Then, there is also interest from ඣBayern. They called to be informed on the situation of the player.

“What w🔴e can add is that also Newcastle are showing an inte👍rest in Huijsen. They are doing very well, and in case they will be in Champions League football next season, the investment on a centre-back back could be made, and Huijsen is one of the players they are monitoring.

“Remember the exclusive story from mid-January, he has a release clause in his contract valid in the summer. So Huijsen will ꦇbe for sure one to watch in the summer transfer windowꩲ.”

Alan Shearer played with and against some great def🅺enders over the years, so he knows a good talent when he see🐓s one.

The Ne💎wcastle United legend has been really impressed with Huijsen, as well as Zabarnyi, and has already branded the two of them as ‘outstanding’.

On the , Shearer said in January: “They’ve been𓃲 so impressive, tactically, energy, everything about them. [Huijsen] very go𒅌od again. Him and Zabarnyi, the two centre-halves, outstanding, both of them were great.”

TBR Football revealed in the summer that Newcastle wanted to sign Huijsen from Juventus, but they couldn’t get a deal over tไhe line then.

It remains to be seen if theꦆy can get their man before the start of next season.
