Newcastle actually offered deal worth £50m to sign ‘amazing’ attacking player just before the deadline
Newcastle United endured a frustrating window in the end as they didn’t quite add the players they wanted to.

On deadline day, Newcastle were als𓃲o linked with a move for Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga.
And according to The Athletic’s Daniel Taylor, the offer for Elanga wo🅠uld actually have resulted in a club-record sale for Nottingham Forest.

Taking to his social media account on X to share the news about Elanga and Newcastle, journalist T💟aylo🍌r paid tribute to the Forest ownership in rejecting the bid.
And in doing so, Taylor revealed that the offer from Newcastle – which inc🔥luded Miguel Almiron – would have been worth around the £50m mark.
Elanga would have shone at Newcastle
Most of the wide players who have played in Eddie𒊎 Howe’s Newcastle side have done 🎐well.
The likes of Anthony Gordon, Har💜vey Barnes and even the aforementioned Almiron have all had success with Howe in charge.
The signing of Ela🦩nga, then, would have been a massive one and with his pace and power, he’d have been a fine capture.
