‘My word’… Pundit left amazed by what Liverpool youngster said after Manchester City draw on Sunday
Michael Bridges has suggested that he was blown away by what he heard Jarell Quansah say after Liverpool drew with Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds gave a brilliant account of themꦗselves in the crucial Premier League clash at Anfield, with Alexis Mac Allister equ𒐪alising from the penalty spot during the second-half.
Jurgen Klopp made a couple of big selection calls ahead of the game. One came at centre-back with Ibrahima Konate injured. That presented an opportunity for Jarell Quansah to come in alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Quansah has been superb throughout the season. And the 20-year-old did not look out of place up against one of the world’s best strikers. Certainly, many of his teammates were imp𒁏ressed by Quansah𝓀’s performance.
The youngster spoke to the press afterwards where he admitte💖d that he was not entirely happy because of the result.
And speaking on , Michael Bridges suggested that he was so impress🐷ed by the youngster on and off the pitch against the champions.
“The one that got me was Quansah playing alongs🃏ide Virgil van Dijk in such a big game, up against Haaland. And what I thought was super impressive,🌟 after the game he got interviewed and he was stood next to Virgil van Dijk, and he wasn’t happy with the result,” he said.
“He said🉐, ‘we’ve let ourselves down, we didn’t keep a clean sheet, we haven’t won at home’. And I was like, my word, this lad’s come in and he’s absolutely disappointed that he’s just had a game against City and they’ve held them to a 1-1 draw, I just thought that is the mental𝕴ity that Klopp brings to this team.”
Centre-back is definitely now a first-teamer
It should not come as a sur🅺prise when a Liverpool youngster steps up and gives a brilliant account of themselves. Of♍ course, it was not too long ago that many of their starlets were playing a key role in the side clinching the Carabao Cup.
Quansah went into this season having ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚnot made his debut for the Reds. But he now looks to be a first-team player, providing cover for Konate.
Konate has been exceptional at times this s🌳eason. But it does not feel as though Liverpool always lose a huge amount when Quansah has to come into the team.
And clearly, Quansah has the attitude to reachꦜ the very top in the years to coꦺme.
