Mino Raiola delivers cryptic message on Champions League skipper’s future, Tottenham reportedly keen
Alessio Romagnoli is reportedly a target for Tottenham Hotspur with his contract situation up in the air – and Mino Raiola has added fuel to the fire.
Romagnoli, 26, is one of the best central defenders in Italian football – and certainly up there in European football, as a left-footed centre-back.
He has been a stalwart for Milan since 2015, giving his side the foundation to become title challengers again – and back in the Champions League.
Following his move to Milan, he has clocked up a huge 232 games for the Rossoneri. But he could be about to leave in January, or even next summer.
in November that Tottenham are interested, and a fee of £8.5million would be needed in January. He could join on a free, too.
Signing him for nothing would be on a pre-contract – meaning next summer. Raiola is Romagnoli’s agent, and he has spoken on his future.
that Romagnoli will not be leaving in January, but next summer: “The market starts in May. I don’t know, we’ll work.”

Raiola on Romagnoli: On a free, Tottenham simply have to move
While the left-footed defender is one of the stalwart centre-backs of Italian football, it must be said that he is still well below his peak at 26.
He has plenty of years left at the top level – and is only going to get better. Tottenham need a left-footed defender, yet to replace Jan Vertonghen.
While Spurs could do with him in January, Raiola’s comments suggest that a move is likely to come about next summer. But that should not deter Spurs.
Nabbing Romagnoli on a pre-contract basis would be another bit of genius from Fabio Paratici – who is renowned for using the Bosman market.
