Mikey Moore very impressed by another young player at Tottenham
Mikey Moore isn’t the only exciting young player at Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have done a magnificent job with their recruitment and academy in recent years. They are now a level above where they were five seasons ago.
One of the biggest examples of that is young Moore, who despite just turning 17 has already made his Premier League debut. He is a superstar in the making.
Moore has company too. There are a few other young players who have what it takes to make it big at Tottenham in the coming years.
Will Lankshear is one of them!
Mikey Moore sends message to Tottenham youngster Will Lankshear
Lankshear is one of Tottenham’s most talented young attackers.
The 19-year-old scored 25 goals in 26 appearances for Spurs’ youth sides in the 2023/24 season, and he made a phenomenal name for himself at the club.
Ange Postecoglou called him up for pre-season, and the teenager proved his quality alongside senior stars. Reports even revealed that Lankshear was the most impressive Tottenham player in training over the course of the summer.
The youngster scored against Hearts and Vissel Kobe, and many fans have since been calling for him to be promoted to the senior setup next season.
A couple of days after making his debut at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Bayern Munich, Lankshear took to Instagram to celebrate his achievement.
“Delighted to have made my first appearance in front of a full Tottenham Hotspur stadium, the support was unreal! On to the season,” he wrote!”
In the replies, fellow Tottenham youngster Moore wrote: “What a player!”
Lankshear is attracting interest from many clubs
Lankshear’s performances in the 2023/24 season as well as this summer have not gone unnoticed.
The 19-year-old’s long-term future lies at Spurs having signed a new long-term contract recently, but he could look for a move away on loan.
Reports have claimed that multiple clubs from Championship and League One are interested in signing Lankshear on loan for the upcoming campaign.
However, with Alejo Veliz already sent out on loan and Dane Scarlett expected to go out as well, Lankshear may well be retained as a backup option.
We think the youngster could make an impact in Europe League games in the 2024/25 season.
