Mikel Arteta proved Arsenal were wrong to reject signing £76m striker who already has five goals for his new club
Kai Havertz’s season-ending injury makes Arsenal’s decision not to sign a striker in January look rather foolish especially given some of the options available.
The Gunners were linked with several players throughout the winter window, however, Mikel Arteta opted to stick with what he already had.
Since February 3, Arsenal have lost both Havertz and Garbriel Martinelli to injury which has left them short in attack.
🦂During the January window, there were many strong attacking options available and it’s tricky to make sense of the North London club passing on all of them.

Why Arsenal didn’t push to sign Randal Kolo Muani
TBR Football reported back in January that Randal Kolo Munai was offered to Arsenal during their hunt for a striker.
💞However, Fabrizio Romano has just added that the Gunners did not feel they could offer the Frenchman enough game time and therefore, decided not to pursue a deal.
💝Instead, the striker ended up moving to Juventus on loan where he is looking very impressive under his new manager Thiago Motta.
♔Romano said on YouTube: “Randal Kolo Muani, he is doing fantastic at Juventus already five goals scored for the Italian side.
𓆉“Why Arsenal didn’t attack the deal? Because they did feel they could offer a starting spot to Randal Kolo Muani. At that point, Arsenal didn’t have that power and so Kolo Muani decided to go to Juventus.”
Randal Kolo Muani could have made a big difference for Arsenal
Kolo Muani♌ could have been a real difference-maker for Arsenal given his electric start to life in Turin.
🐽The striker has already netted five goals in four matches for the Italian giants and is proving to be one of the best deals of the winter window.
💖The French international’s versatility was another key factor why so many clubs were keen to get him and with Arsenal missing so many attackers, that could have been a useful trait.
Arteta has now been forced into finding an alternative in his squad such as playing Leandro Trossard as a number nine.
