Dele Alli and Micky van de Ven both seriously impressed with recent transfer news at Tottenham

After biding their time, Tottenham Hotspur have now added Dominic Solanke to their trio of 18-year-old signings this summer – a much needed boost.

No doubt, Ange Postecoglou will have been delighted to see the likes of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Yang Min-hyeok arrive, but none of the three significantly raised the level of his first eleven.

Solanke, on the other hand, will go immediately into the starting team, allowing Son Heung-min to return to his favoured role on the left.

The Englishman is excellent in the press, scores goals, and provides much better balance to Spurs’ squad moving forward.

That being said, Postecoglou has suggested that Tottenham won’t stop there, perhaps lining up a move for another midfielder and full-back.

TBR Football recently shared that Tottenham still want Kyle Walker-Peters, another signing that can really help the side’s homegrown quota.

And regardless of Emerson Royal nearing a move to AC Milan, Spurs will need reinforcements on both sides of their defence, not currently possessing sufficient cover for Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro.

Dominic Solanke ready to break his goal-scoring record at Tottenham this season

Putting the focus back on Solanke, the former Chelsea youth player will be hoping to better his previous best tally for a Premier League season immediately at Spurs.

Solanke scored 19 goals for Bournemouth last term, a target all in N17 would be delighted for him to beat.

That being said, after being officially announced as Tottenham player on Saturday, Solanke took to to pen a message to Spurs fans.

Solanke uploaded a photo signing his new contract alongside a caption of: “A huge honour to join this great football club! Can’t wait to suit up and get to work! COYS.”

And as you may imagine, a host of well known Tottenham faces left their reply in the comments, delighted to see the 26-year-old arrive in north London.

Among the replies, Dele Alli left three heart emojis and Micky van de Ven also left a handshake emoji too, no doubt excited to begin work with his new teammate.

And interestingly, Walker-Peters still looks to be keeping his eyes on all things Spurs as well, leaving his message too.

An excellent signing for Tottenham, and a statement of their renewed ambition this summer.
