Micky van de Ven says £75k-a-week Spurs player is the funniest in the dressing room

Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has named Fraser Forster as the joker in the Spurs dressing room.

The Tottenham summer signing is the latest player to feature in the Spurs ‘s “Getting to Know” feature.

Van de Ven spoke to the Tottenham media team about a number of topics including his biggest influences growing up, his favourite current TV show, and how he likes his eggs in the morning.

For those who’d like to know, the answers to the above questions are: his parents, Griselda, and an omelette with ham and cheese.

With regards to the funniest player in the Spurs dressing room, the Dutchman quickly opted for the big goalkeeper.

When asked who the biggest joker in the pack is, Van de Ven said: “Fraser Forster! He’s always joking around in the changing room.”

Tottenham ace Fraser Forster is a dressing room character

Aside from being a great goalkeeper, Forster seems like a top character to have around in the dressing room.

He was singled out for his funny antics back when he was at Celtic. Former teammate Mohamed Elyounoussi joked that Forster was a “class clown”.

“Fraser is a really good guy,” he said in the back in 2019.

“At Southampton I talked to him a lot and in the end we were in the same situation. He was always quite positive down there.

“I’d say he was kind of a clown, he talked a lot and made a few jokes. He’s still the same guy here.

“Fraser is a quality keeper. I think he was the best goalkeeper down at Southampton. He’s amazing when he’s at his best.”

It’s great to see Forster get praise for how he is in the dressing room. Such characters help with regards to camaraderie, and it’s clear that it’s really high at present at N17.
