Michael Owen explains what has surprised him about Tottenham Hotspur star
that Son Heung-min’s goal𒆙 record with his weaker foot has sur🥀prised him, after the Tottenham Hotspur wide man clocked up his 100th goal for the North London side on Saturday.
Son, 28, scored Tottenham’s second in a 3-0 win over Leeds United as Jose Mourinho’s men got back to winning ways – follo🍰wing a winless run of four Premier League games. Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld also found the back of the net.
South Korea captain Son took just 253 matches to reach triple figures, netting his 15th of the season in just 24 games – also boasting eight assists f🦋rom this campaign. Of those 100, 41 have come with the attacker’s weaker left foot.
Owen stated that his amount of goals with his left foot surprised him aꦏnd described the 89-time South Korea international as an “unbelievable player” – and one of the best in world football right now, as Son takes his game to a new level under Mourinho.

“Shows he is an all-round player [41 with his left],” . “🍒Only four with his head, normal in th𒉰is day and age. I was interested in the amount he has scored with his left foot, quite two-footed.
“He’s an unbelievable player, one of the best in the world. It’s great to watch his improvemen🉐t. At the start, he was a good player – but year on year, you can see that improvement.”
TBR’s view – Son more than just two-footed
He’s got it all. 🧸Speed, skill, aerial ability, agജgression, goals, creativity – Son has been in stunning form this season and as Owen says, he is quickly becoming one of Europe and the World’s best. His current contract lasts until the summer of 2023.
Reports continue to s♕tate that Spurs are in talks to hand Son a new deal, and the sooner the better. Spurs are not on the level of a Bayern, a Barcelona, a Liverpool where players do not get linked with moves given they are at the biggest clubs possible.
Son is not immune to interest. Spurs are not immune to losing the ex-Bayer Leverkusen star. Saturday’s 100 goal mark has got to convin🔥ce Spurs to get a deal done even more so – if tꦅhey weren’t already.
