‘Matter of time’: Romano claims ‘extraordinary’ star Arsenal reportedly led race for will join PSG for just £21m
Arsenal have been linked with Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz in recent months.
Back in May, claimed the Gunners led the race and held the most interest in the 26-year-old midfielder.
Other Italian sources, such as journalists Ciro Venerato and Paolo Bargiggia, also linked Arsenal with Ruiz.

And in June, had made a move for the Spain international.
However, the past few weeks have seen speculation between Arsenal and Ruiz cool down somewhat.
In the meantime, West Ham and Paris Saint-German reportedly entered the race for the Napoli star.
And now, it looks as though PSG have beaten Arsenal, the Hammers and all other suitors.
Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter to claim that a deal involving Ruiz and the Ligue 1 giants is “just matter of time”.
He noted that personal terms were agreed days ago, and negotiations between clubs is progressing well.
PSG are closing in on the deal and will apparently pay €20-25m (around £17-21m).
Ruiz is a midfielder of the highest calibre, who has over 160 competitive Napoli appearances to his name.
He has been described as “spectacular” and “extraordinary” in the past.
And scouting website recently deemed him “one of the best creators in Serie A” with his “metronomic abilities”.
Meanwhile, Arsenal remain linked with a new midfielder – the Youri Tielemans saga is still going on.
However, it doesn’t look as though Ruiz is an option for Mikel Arteta any more.
