‘Massive talent’ could leave Aston Villa on loan in January, he’s pushing now – journalist
Aston Villa forward Cameron Archer could leave the club on loan in January, according to Ashley Preece.
Preece was asked about Archer’s future, and believes the 20-year-old could be set to leave on loan.
“Cameron Archer is working hard and is pushing for more involvement than he’s currently been getting.
“A loan is on the cards in January.”

Manager Steven Gerrard hinted at the end of the summer window that Archer could leave the club.
“The window’s still open. He’s very much a part of what we’re trying to do here.”
“He’s a massive talent and we love the kid but we’ll do the right thing by him in the coming days.”
However, a move never materialised and Archer has now been pushing to be involved at Aston Villa.
Archer could leave Villa on loan in January
Sadly, the England under-21 international has hardly played for the Villains this season.
He’s come off the bench three times this season, but only played a total of 17 minutes.
Archer wasn’t even given a start in the Carabao Cup against Bolton Wanderers.
Gerrard’s side had lost two of their first three games, and he decided to put out a very strong team that day.
Archer can’t just rely on minutes in the cup and off the bench for his development.

Villa icon Ian Taylor has previously said how impressed he was with the youngster.
He had a successful six months on loan at Championship side Preston last season, scoring seven goals in 20 games.
His hat-trick in the Carabao Cup last year against Barrow put him in the spotlight, before scoring against Chelsea in the next round.
For Archer to reach his full potential, he needs another loan move in January to start playing first-team football again.
