Many Manchester United fans make interesting claim about Joshua Zirkzee after his cameo display vs Tottenham in the EFL Cup
Manchester United are out of the Carabao Cup at the quarter-final stage despite giving Tottenham Hotspur a big scare on Thursday night.
Dominic Solanke opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Dejan Kulusevski doubled Tottenham’s lead early in the second half.
Solanke then got his second of the night in the 54th minute against an increasingly beleaguered Manchester United.
However, Ruben Amorim’s charges battled back as Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo made it 3-2♚ by the 70-minute mark.
It wasn’t enough though, with Spurs holding on and adding a cushion thanks to Son Heung-min’s⛦ 88th-minute goal direct from a corner.
And though Jonny Evans made it 4-3 deep into injury time with꧋ a header through Fraser Forster’s hands, it was too little too late.
Rasmus Hojlund started for Man United, with Zirkzee coming on l🐎ater on in the game, and Red Devils fans commented on this during the match.

Many M🌳an United fans believed that Amorim should be starting Zirkzee ahead of Hojlund, clai꧒ming the Dutchman is a better forward than his teammate.
One supporter said “by the way Zirkzee is better than Hojlund”, while another 𒉰wrote “altho🍨ugh not that great, Zirkzee is 10 times the player Hojlund is”.
The𒁏 calls kept coming, with one fan aꦗdding: “Absolutely no reason for Hojlund to be playing over Zirkzee”.
One elaborateꩵd: “Zirkzee is giving our final 3rd balance and I think he’s better than Hojlund up front.”
And another said: “Zirkzee should’ve started 💛today in♔stead of Hojlund. United needs 2 CBs, two 10’s and two WB’s.”
