Manchester United trying to wrap up £3m deal for wonderkid with Arsenal also in talks to sign him

Manchester United are keen to sign a new left-sided player for Ruben Amorim.

The fitness iss𓂃ues of Luke Shaw have led Diogo Dalot to spend most of his recent Manchester ♈United career on the left, despite being a natural right-back.

TBR Football understand Manchester United admire Patrick Dorgu – having watched the Lecce No.13 on several occasions – with scouts feeling he would be ideal for Ruben Amorim.

Now, however, TBR Football understand Manchester United have entered talks to sign another left-back in Diego Leon, although the Red Devils face competition from Arsenal.

Manchester United battling Arsenal to sign Diego Leon

Sources have now informed TBR Football that Manchester United are working o🥃n a deal for theꩵ Paraguayan wonderkid.

Scouts working🍸 for the Red Devils became aware of Leon in September, and have closely monitored his performances for Cerro Porteno ever since.

The 17-year-old has clearly impressed, as talks are now taking place over a permanent deal for the𒉰 teenager, who is valued at £3m.

Jason Wilcox – Technical Director at Old Trafford – has placed a keen focus▨ on hoovering up top talent, with Leon next in his sights.

However – as 𓆏aforesaid – Arsenal are also interested, with talks ongoing betweenꦆ the Gunners and Cerro Porteno.

TBR Football understan🍃d Man𝔍chester City and Tottenham are also speaking to the Paraguayan side about a deal for Leon.

Boruss꧙ia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are understood to have enquired about the defender too, while Major League Soccer clubs and t💎eams in Argentina have previously held talks.

However, it seems Leon will be moving to Europe rather than make a switch to either of the latt🐽er two destinations.

Who is Diego Leon?

Like Shaw, who Amorim praised, was at the age of 17 when emerging at Southampton, Leon is a very, very highly rated left-back, one who h🥀as worked hard to reach this point.

Speaking 𒉰to , Roberto Rojas – Paraguayan Football Expert at ESPN – said: “He’s a player with a lot of promise, who happened to make this big jump into the first team at Cerro Porteno s꧋o quickly.

“As someone comin🔴g from a remote place and growing up in difficult circumstances, Leon has proven to be someone who can surpass that adversity to get to where he’s been. He’s definitely viewed highly because of his talent, recent performances for one of the biggest clubs in the country and occupying that left flank as a full-back has allowed him to be someone who can go onto the attack, start playing from the back and also be versati🃏le.”

If a deal ✱does materialise for Manchester United, it 🐎sounds like Leon has the quality to become a potential star under Amorim.
