Manchester United legend Andy Cole names the former Liverpool striker who is easily the best finisher he’s ever seen

Andy Cole is one of the greatest strikers in Premier League history.

﷽For Manchester United and Newcastle United in particular, the retired centre-forward was a simply ruthless goalscorer.

The goals speak for themselves when it comes to Andy Coleཧ, who scored 187 during his time in the Premier League.

❀Cole ranks in fourth place amongst the highest goalscorers to play in the English top-flight, only sitting behind the likes of Wayne Rooney (208 goals), Harry Kane (213 goals) and Alan Shearer (260 goals).

📖What is especially impressive about the Englishman is that he amassed such an outstanding goal record while having taken and scored just one penalty during his Premier League career.

Andy Cole was a remarkable finisher and played with some of the best of the best for both club and country, including Robbie Fowler๊, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Dwight Yorke to name a few.

🌳In an interview with Rio Ferdinand Presents’ YouTube channel, Andy Cole was asked whether he was a better striker than Robbie Fowler.

But Cole’s instant response was singing the Liverpool🅺 legend’s praises, who he deemed as the best finisher he has ever seen.

“Oh, I loved Robbie, you know.”

꧙“Robbie is the best finisher I’ve seen. I’m honest. I’ve seen Robbie, obviously, then I’ve played with him, I’ve seen Robbie, we used to go away with England do some craziness. When you’re away with England, you go away and watch people.”

🐬“I’m not lying…that’s one [a finish] I could do. I’m saying because left or right foot, head, brave and I used to sit and watch him like, his left foot was a wand as well and Robbie was one of the best finishers I’ve seen, English finisher.”

෴Fowler scored 248 goals in 572 appearances over the course of his career, which sums up how special a number nine he was.

🎶The 49-year-old was at Liverpool from 1993 until 2001 before re-joining the club in the 2006/2007 campaign.

🎐Robbie Fowler was an elite goalscorer in his heyday and it is a shame he played in the same team as Andy Cole just three times.

🌄Fowler and Cole played twice for England in draws against Greece and Manchester United when they played in the same Manchester City side.

꧙The pair lost when the Netherlands beat the Three Lions 2-0 in 2001. Due to playing very little football with each other, neither player assisted the other.

🍷However, what fans and pundits will agree will is that Robbie Fowler was a tremendous finisher and so was Andy Cole, who have gone down as two legends of the game.
