Manchester United are now talking about signing £12m Burnley player

Manchester United are looking at new midfield options this summer as they look to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Manuel Ugart𝔍e has been strongly linked with a m🎃ove to Old Trafford, but there hasn’t been much movement on 𓂃that front as💙 of late.

With the Ugarte deal potentially stalling, Manchester United are having to look at other options.

According to Duncan Castles, speaking on , United are now looking at a player from within English football, claiming that Burnley’s Sander Berge is someone the Red Devils are keen on.

Manchester United interested in Burnley’s Sander Berge

Castles spok🌳e🎉 about United’s search for a new midfielder and the man.

“Another individual who I don’t think has been mentioned at all in𝓰 other reports as a candidate for Manchester United but I am told they are discussing𒆙 as an option if the Ugarte deal doesn’t go through is Norway international Sander Berge,” Castles said.

“He is 26 years of age. He wil𒐪l almost certainly leave Burnley this summer having only joined last year, he doesn’t want to play in the Championship again. It’s an interesting option, a different ജstyle to Ugarte, taller and more elegant in the midfield.”

“Other clubs are interested in Berge including two Champions League qualifiers, one in Spain and one in Italy. So I think he’s an individual to pay attention to, a surprise option for United, bu𒈔t one they could go for if they can’t get a resolution on a fee with PSG.”

Sander Berge won’t start for Manchester United

Of course, standing at 6 ft 5 and with grea✱t ability on the ball, Berge do🃏es have plenty of appeasing attributes.

However, the reality is that this is a player that has been relegated with two different clubs in recent years, and if you’re not standing out at Sheffield United or Burnley, you’re not going to m𒅌ake an impact at Manchester United.

It’s hard to think that Berge would be anything more t💛han a squad player for United.

Berge has been linked to Liverpool in the past, and, somehow, he may be about to get his move to an English giant in the shape oജf Manchester United.
