Manchester City fans send clear message about Kyle Walker as Pep Guardiola confirms he has asked to leave

It goes without saying that Kyle Walker has cemented his status as a Manchester City legend.

But after his side’s 8-0 demolition job of Salford City in the FA Cup, Pep Gಞuardiola confirmed Walker has asked to leave City.

Since heading to the Etihad Stadium, Kyle Walker has be🐼en the Sky Blues’ starting right-back, captaining the club to one out of the six Premier League titles he won, lifting the treble and winning a whole host of trophies.

But there is no denying that Walker has been poor this season and looks like a shadow of his former self.

While Pep Guardiola’s confirmation came as a surprise, TBR Football previously revealed Manchester City were ready to sell Walker more than a month ago.

Man City fans agree it is time for Kyle Walker to leave

Several Manchester City f✱ans flocked to X and express🌄ed their gratitude for the Englishman’s incredible years of service while admitting it is the right time for him to leave the club.

One City supporter wrote: “Club legend. One of the cornerstones of our dynasty. But it’s🌼 been a long time coming — he should’ve went a year or two ago. Shame how it’s ended.”

Another Manchester City fan acknowledged Walker, who Cesc Fabregas lauded as one of the greatest right-backs🧔 in Premier League history was excellent for a number of years but felt he should have been moved on a ♊season ago.

Another supported added: “It’s a crying shame how its ended for ꦑWalker. Far too good and far too important a player for it to end so poorly.”

Another Manchester City fan also said: “It’s a shame how things have ended for Kyle Walker at Manchester City. He gave his blood and sweat for the club and is definitely a legend of this club. Hop✤e he leaves on good terms with the fans. “

Walker, who Ousmane Dembele marvelled at for his extraordinary pace will appreciate all the love that has come his way since Pep Guardiola’s revelation.

Saudi Pro League target Kyle Walker signing

TBR Football have confirmed that the Saudi Pro League are targeting Walker as his time at Manches𒊎ter City looks set to come to an end.

In March, Walker hinted he could🎶 be open to a move to Saudi Arabia as well during an interview on R♌io Ferdinand: Presents’ YouTube channel.

“Listen, I’ll never say ne𝐆ver. What the money that they’re paying and everything like that is obviously a massive factor in why these👍 players are going out there.”

“Listen, for [Cristiano] Ronaldo to go out there, he opened the pathway for everyone to go there. I think if they keep attracting the players that they’re attracting, the league’s going to get better so then why wouldn🍰’t you want to go thဣere?”

It will be interesting to see w🥂hether Walker is able to secure a move elsewhere this month, whether that is to the Saudi Pro League or another division or if the summer is when he will be granted his exit from Manchester City.
