Manchester City came from behind to beat PSG and roar into the last 16 of the Champions League. After the game, supporters were absolutely delighted with the performance of Riyad Mahrez.

It was looking like it wouldn’t be City’s night. Kylian Mbappe scored five minutes into the se𝕴cond half to give Mauricio Pochettino’s men the lead completely against the run of play.

Pep Guardiola’s team are a different animal these days though. They roared back to wi𝔉n the game thanks to goals by Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesu𒁃s, guaranteeing themselves top spot.

It was the performance oꦉf Mahrez that caught the eye. He was fantastic throughout the clash and showcased his talent to boss Guardiola during a pulsating 90 minutes.

The Algerian star has playe𒀰d 17 games this season, scoring eight goals and claiming two assists. In total, he has featured 159 times for the Citizens and is ofteඣn an unsung hero for the team.

The man tasked with capt🍃aining his country has scored 47 goals for City, with anotherꦅ 39 assists under the player’s belt too.

Despite comin𒈔g up against a number of talented players last night, Mahrez was in 🌟the mood, looking majestic throughout a large part of the game.

What have Manchester City fans said about Mahrez?

Quite simply they’re blown away. They couldn’t believeꦓ that he produced such a devastating performance and gave the PSG defenders a torrid time on the night.

At 30, Mahrez isn’t particularly old, although he will need to keep his𒁃 perform𓆏ance levels high if he craves regular football in Guardiola’s team.

The man with 70 caps for his country earns there is ✨much more to come from him during 2021/22.
