Manager suggests his club is plotting to buy £15m Tottenham player

Tottenham Hotspur loanee Joe Rodon continues to go from strength to strength at Leeds United this season.

So much so, in fact, that Daniel Farke has suggested that the Whites are already working behind the scenes to prepare a permanent move for Rodon.

Tottenham signed the 26-year-old back in 2020 in a dea♔l , 🌳but he struggled to make a mark at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs sent Rodon out on loan to French side Rennes last season, but they didn’t take up the option to buy at the end o♏f the campaign.

The Wales international joined Leeds this season, and 🅰he’s finally showing the form that made him such a star at Swansea City.

Rodon has made 24 Championship appearances for the Elland Road outfit this te💙rm, helping the Whites remain in promotion conꦐtention.

According to the , Leeds don’t have the option or obligation to buꦯy Rodon from Tottenham as per the loan terms.

As things stand, the Wels𝓰hman is set to return to Spurs once his loan expires, so the onus is on Leeds t♓o try to strike a deal.

Leeds ‘more than happy’ with Tottenham loanee Joe Rodon

Farke, speaking to the , has admitted that Leeds would love to keep Rodon, and it looks as tඣhough they’ve already got the ball rolli🃏ng.

“Behind the scenes we are working,” sa🍸id the Whites boss. “There is no doubt about this. We are more than ha💮ppy with Joe and his performances.

“His development is great and you also see him growing into this cluꦺb more and more and into a leader 👍role.

“When 💞you see him in his every day work you see how much i🃏t means to him to wear this white shirt and defend this white shirt.

“In the games he’s just happy to be here and happy to be an important part and crucial to our perfo💟rmances and development.

“For that we are more than happy and obviously we would like him to stay for a bi🔜t longer but at the moment it’s not an urgent topic.

“He will stay with us until the end of the season. T🧜hat’s the most important thing.”

Joe Rodon loan a double-edged sword for Leeds due to no option to buy from Tottenham

Leeds will probably regre🎉t not getting an option𒉰 to buy for Rodon.

The Tottenham man has been doing really weꦜll, but this could be a double-edged sword.

Spurs now have the opportunity t🤪o bring Rodon back in the summer and give him the chance to fight for his first-team p𒐪lace.

Obviouslꦇy this is just speculation. Tottenham could also just as well decide to cash in. But had the Whites opted for an option to buy, Spurs’ hand wouldn’t be as strong now.

While it’s a disadvantage for Leeds, it’s good news for Tottenham. They’ve bꦯolstered their defence further with Radu Dragusin, but if Rodon continues to shine, they could just♐ look to him as a new option.
